Black Pearl Nails was inspired by the novel Veil of Pearls by MaryLu Tyndall. In it, the protagonist's mother is gifted with a necklace made of black pearls and told that it represents the beauty and value of her melanin. Thus, Black Pearl Nails, was born. We have since been inspired to empower women, especially black women, to embrace their beauty, regardless of how the world may view them, knowing that they are lovely and unique.
